Hill Close Gardens, Warwick UK

A tiny selection of photographs to accompany an earlier post about the snowdrop weekend at Hill Close. Having worked their for a good while I have a close attachment to the gardens, and will attempt in due course a more complete article about the garden and its very special qualities.

A more complete review of my flying visit to the snowdrop weekend on 18th & 19th February 2012 can be found by clicking here.

Hill Close Gardens - Snowdrop Weekend

Saturday - Sunday, 18 - 19 February, Snowdrop Display and Garden Visit - Review

Hill Close Gardens, Warwick
A very fleeting visit this morning to a garden in the heart of Warwick I used to supervise, Hill Close, was spent mostly trying to keep up with the little one... It was definitely worth the effort though, and also worth a quick post to try and give a flavour of the event. This years event will be over by the time you read this, but I hope it will inspire you to visit when the gardens open in April, or even book onto a course, all listed on the website at the bottom of the post. Note: most photographs were taken, rapidly this morning. Enjoy:

I’m certain I’ll be writing about other trees and plants too, but do look

Gardening Review – February 7th 2012 Compton Verney

What a fascinating week for gardeners! The weather forecast for last weekend was a confident one for south Warwickshire and much of the UK, therefore last Friday we dispensed a mean amount of salt along the main access routes onto the property, in preparation. The snow
thankfully arrived on time and we arrived back to Compton on Monday morning to a much easier clear up session than expected. Having said that, it did take two of us nearly all day to clean the drives to a decent standard...
